Feminist Movement Building
WIDE+’s work on feminist movement building is carried forward through the Feminist Movement Building Working Group, which creates spaces for collective reflection, collaboration and feminist strategising across Europe.

Webinar on 18 June 2025 “Under Threat in Europe: Democracy, Feminisms and Women’s Rights
The WIDE+ Feminist Movement Building Working Group works together to foster transnational collaboration and provide spaces for intersectional feminist strategising across Europe. In a very challenging political landscape, our focus is on building a resilient movement capable of countering regression and driving systemic change.
Our group meets monthly online to reflect on pressing challenges of our time. Topics range from gender-based and online violence to security, resistance, and economic justice, all through an intersectional lens. We facilitate online and face-to-face spaces for discussion and connection.
We believe that movement building starts with connection. If you are an activist, a researcher, or someone passionate about gender justice and are looking for a space to organise, advocate and act, the Feminist Movement Building Working Group invites you to join a transnational community dedicated to shaping the future of feminisms in Europe!
Join the Working Group
WIDE+ membership is not required when joining this working group, but we encourage participants to consider joining the broader WIDE+ network as voting members to strengthen our collective voice.
With regular online meetings of an hour, you will have the possibility of directly proposing and contributing to organising events as well as be an active participant in the fight for gender equality in Europe.
