Gea Meijers
She has promoted feminism through WIDE(+)’s collective action since 2006; she has been its coordinator since 2018. She is responsible for the coordination of projects and team members, financial and other management, fundraising and reporting. She previously worked for several international and national NGOs, promoting secularism and peace in the Netherlands, the UK and Belgium. She founded an international humanist youth network in 2002 that currently exists as Young Humanists International. Within WIDE+ she has a special focus on feminist economic issues, including highlighting the interrelations between EU trade policy and economic gender discrimination, the discrimination faced by migrant women and digital discrimination. She has a bachelor in sociology and a master in international public policy from the United Nations University MERIT. Stephanie Höglund
She holds experience within communication, social media and project coordination from the UN, NGOs and government institutions. As an advocate for equal rights and social justice, Stephanie sees it as her calling to leverage her personal and professional skills to contribute to changemaking. This, as well as her cross-cultural background from Sweden and the Philippines, is what has drawn her to work and volunteer for different humanitarian, social and development causes in Luxembourg, the Philippines, Ethiopia and Denmark. Envisioning a free, just and equal society, she has faith in her own and future generations to lead the way and bring the change needed. Stephanie has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Economics, and a Masters of Social Sciences in Development and International Relations. Magda Saginashvili
working with the Women and Migration Working Group. She has research and work experience across NGOs, international organizations such as the National Democratic Institute (NDI) and the United Nations, governmental institutions (including the Parliament of Georgia), and academia. She is currently registered as an invited lecturer at the University of Georgia, where she teaches a course on Gender Policy. She first joined WIDE+ in December 2022 as an intern, marking the beginning of her engagement with feminist advocacy at the European level. She holds two Master’s degrees in European Policies (University of Padova) and Gender Studies (Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University). Her expertise includes project management, gender research and analysis, stakeholder engagement, and policy advocacy. Magda’s main research interests include gender mainstreaming (GIA, GA, GE), intersectionality, social policies and inclusion, gender and migration, women and politics, and feminist movements. Allis Millegård
She holds a Master’s degree in Global Studies from the University of Gothenburg, where her research focused on issues related to migration and (human) security. Allis has experience working with NGOs through her work as a board member at GADIP (Gender and Development in Practice) and previous work for WIDE+, coordinating the Gender and Migration Working Group, among other tasks. Her experience includes project work, writing and editing reports, as well as administration. In addition to her consultancy at WIDE+, she works as an adult educator and lecturer focused on digital inclusion for seniors. Gioia Buonsanti
She is a recent graduate with a Master’s degree in Human Rights and Multilevel Governance with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations. Her academic research focused on the shrinking of the civic space in EU countries and on gender issues, with a focus on gender stereotyping and conflict related sexual violence. Gioia has volunteered with an anti-violence center in Italy and has been an intern with WIDE+ in 2025, focusing on the projects around gender and climate justice and reducing intersectional discrimination in algorithmic assisted hiring. She has taken part in the International Based Simulation Training on Combating trafficking in human beings organised by the OSCE in October 2025, mastering the importance of victim-centered and trauma-informed approaches in contexts of exploitation. Maëlann Yvin
She is currently completing a Master's degree in Peace, Humanitarian Action and Development at Sciences Po Lille, as part of a double degree with the University of Kent. Her thesis, conducted in partnership with the Refugee Women's Centre, examines how to introduce a gender-transformative approach in migratory transit, through the case of the Franco-British border in Calais and Grande-Synthe, an organisation she has also been involved with as a volunteer and field researcher. Her professional experience spans legal aid, humanitarian fieldwork, and community-based education. She interned with CODENAF in Spain, where she assisted asylum seekers and migrants in completing administrative applications for asylum, regularisation and appeals, conducted research on immigration law and procedures, and supported legal advisors in their casework, while also observing how the organisation's work translated into public policy at European, national and regional levels. She has also worked as a play worker with Project Play, supporting recreational activities for children in migratory contexts.
Maëlann first joined WIDE+ as an intern in 2025 and has since remained an active member of the Gender and Migration and Feminist Popular Economic Education Working Groups.
