Strategic action plan 2025-2028
WIDE+’s vision and mission for the coming years is to place rights, intersectional and inclusive equality and social justice as well as reproduction/care at the centre of the economy.
This vision is based on a socio-economic model that prioritises care and well-being over endless economic growth. It supports societies living within planetary boundaries and a political model rooted in democracy, transparency and inclusion.
In this context, our programmatic focus is to promote feminist economic approaches connected to an analysis of power relations in a broader political context of global relations and challenges for democracy and civil society participation.
Programmatic focus between 2025-2027
- Enable migrant feminist coalition building and organising in Europe
- Promote feminist narratives, coalitions and collaborations across Europe, in particular on current topics of concern: militarism and peace, transnational feminist solidarity and the impact of EU policies
- Address intersectional discrimination in Artificial Intelligence, in particular in labour issues
- Promote feminist alternatives in trade policy
- Raise awareness on gender and climate justice
- Expand feminist economic literacy and training

- Promote intersectional feminist approaches and diversity in our activism and actions
- Analyse complex patterns and narratives of discrimination intersecting with gender discrimination, including migration
- Create spaces for shared analysis and exchange on democratic challenges affecting people and civil society, in particular barriers to democratic participation and the shrinking of public spaces, speech and resources
- Promote reflections on feminist responses to ultra-conservative backlashes and geopolitical developments.
